My father recently passed and was leaving me everything. I was expecting ~50,000 but it is gunna end up being 4x that roughly.<\/p>\n
My parents have been divorced since I was 5. And my sister has not talked to him in 15 years. My father was an alcoholic and I was in contact with him the entire time we still did not have a normal or close relationship. I have been seeing him more the last 5 years when he was sick. But he majority of the time is a hard person to be around so not usually a good time.<\/p>\n
I am close to my mother and let her know I was getting more money then expected.<\/p>\n
Since then she is saying my sister deserves 50% and essentially if I don\u2019t our relationship will be strained.<\/p>\n
I don\u2019t totally disagree but her telling me this in the same week he passed and telling me what to do kind of rubs me the wrong way.<\/p>\n
I had told my wife I was probably giving them both some money but had no idea how much and I still don\u2019t know what the final amount will be.<\/p>\n
