And he says, \u201cHey, I\u2019m down on my luck.\u201d And I go, \u201cI see that.\u201d And then he says, \u201cWait a minute, are you Russell Peters?\u201d And I\u2019m like, \u201cWait, how do you know who I am? How do you know who anybody is?\u201d<\/p>\n
He starts talking to me about how his mom\u2019s Guyanese and his dad\u2019s German or something. And he says, \u201cI\u2019m embarrassed. I was the little chubby kid on Mighty Ducks<\/em>.\u201d I was like, \u201cWhat?\u201d And he says, \u201cI was in Heavyweights<\/em>.\u201d I was like, \u201cThat was you?\u201d <\/p>\n He was all gaunt and completely just a shell of a man. But I could see in his eyes he wasn\u2019t gone. You could see he wanted to get out of that world, but he didn\u2019t know how. <\/p>\n I gave him 100 bucks that day. That\u2019s what I had in my pocket.
