Support for those feeling depressed due to the cost of living
I wanted to hear people's stories of financial woes, so maybe we could feel a little less alone.
Feel free to share your story, or share something positive that may make those of us struggling right now feel better. I think many of us millennials need to hear these things.
I've fallen into a real depression for the first time of my life, I'm 36, single, and just finished a masters that should pay me fairly, but it will not allow me to afford the average life I wanted to live. I have studied HARD for 8 years and gave up my 20's to working and studying. I now have a ton of debt. I was REALLY looking forward to graduating, only to find the reality is not at all what I expected. I feel somewhat alone as many of my friends established their careers in their 20s, they have property, and will be much better off than I am, solely due to timing. I don't know what else to say, other than I really would like to hear I'm not alone.
