This tipping situation is getting way out of hand.
I know it’s been mentioned many times but as someone who eats out once in a while this is getting crazy.
I placed an order online and they didn’t have a “no tip” option and the minimum tip was 18%. Now keep in mind if I am being served in a restaurant I will always tip especially if the service was great.
When placing my order online I put $0.00 in the tipping option as I would be picking up the order myself. 15 minutes after placing the order I called the restaurant just for a quick status update on my order. Once the person confirmed my name he followed by:
“The $30 order with no tip”
The entitlement is just becoming too much. I appreciate and respect workers in the industry but tipping is an option and not mandatory, I’m not going to tip you for doing your job and handing me my food.
And with cost of living rising who’s out here tipping 18%??
