BMO is the worst
I have a MasterCard Rewards credit card from BMO. They owe me $200 of rewards which can be transferred directly to the checking account. I created an account on their rewards website, linked it to my credit card and sent the money to my checking account. It tells me the money will be transferred on the next business day. So three days pass and I still haven't received it. I decide to call BMO, I talk to an agent who didn't know a thing about the rewards. She redirected me to MasterCard. While I was waiting for 20 min + on the line, the line simply cut off. So I decided to call MasterCard, they redirected me back to BMO and the waiting delay was 4 hours, which is ridiculous.
Fast forward two weeks, haven't received the money but they sent me a letter in the mail saying they couldn't transfer the money, blabla. So this morning i'm trying to log in to my rewards account and it tells me: "We are not able to log you in at this time". I'm trying to call BMO and the waiting delay is 2 hours.
How can a bank be this incompetent? When I get my rewards, i'm switching bank. Any recommendations?
