Restaurant charges for still water because it’s filtered – do I look cheap if I request tap water?
My wife and I are going out for dinner tonight to a restaurant in Calgary that charges for still water, even though it is not from a bottle.
Even though it is a completely insignificant amount of money, on principal I don't like paying for water. Especially when the tap water we have in Calgary is some of the cleanest water in the world.
Where does one draw the line? It's not about the money – it's about values and having principles. Would you pay for still water? Is it extreme to request tap water?
