The average Millennial, Gen Z, and Gen X makes far less than what this sub suggests.
If you browse here a lot you would really think at least half of people make $120,000 or more. Of course facts say otherwise.
According to StatsCan, if you're between 25 and 34, the median income is somewhere in the mid $40,000s. If you're between 35 and 44, the median income is mid $50,000s, and similarly if you are between 45 and 54, it's also in the mid $50,000s.
You can play around with the province on that site but that's a far more objective picture than what's presented here. Nobody has any idea how much of the stuff here is bragging or just made up.
Is life hard on those median incomes? Ya. But are you alone or 'behind'? Perhaps not.
