are there really that many people making over +100k~200k in Canada?
Sorry if my post is inappropriate in this subreddit or violating the rules. I'll delete it if that's the case.
I came across this subreddit searching for the best credit cards in Canada.
Since then I've been reading through several posts, and it just blew my mind knowing the people's average salary here.
One post really got me shock, the OP is saying he is swimming in debts asking for help and advice while claiming to make over +250k in household salary and all kinds of bonuses.
Are people in Toronto really this commonly rich, or are there that many good paying jobs in Toronto? Saying this cause majority of posters are in GTA area. (I'm in Calgary, Alberta)
I've been living with straight minimum wage for almost 4 years, and then just said fuck this and went back to school and got an offer on the job with $34/hr position.
Like me and my gf were fucking on the Moon over this, we thought we could almost even manage to live forever with this hourly wage,
But now that I'm seeing it's so common to earn over +100k alone here, feels like I'm doing something wrong or took a wrong direction on taking educations/fields.
I apologize if the one post I've referred is a genuine one, but just so hard to wrap in my head being unable to manage with over $10,000/month while I lived with 15/hr for over 4 years. Was a shitty life but never been in a debt.
What are you guys doing for a living making over +150~200k per year salary?
