Living paycheck to paycheck on 160k?
I was having a conversation with a friend today who said that he and his wife make a combined gross income of 160k per year but live paycheck to paycheck. He also said that unless you make 200k gross, most people in a 2 person household would live paycheck to paycheck.
That surprised me because my wife and I make 180k gross combined and manage to save 4k per month after all expenses….and we have a kid! The friend lives in a one bedroom condo and definitely pays less rent than us, has no education loan, and no debts.
Which made me curious..does he have a point? What could they be spending on? Am I just super miserly?
