People need to take responsibility for their TFSA and RRSP limits.

This is the time of the year where the CRA sends mailers to people who over contributed to their TFSA and are being charged penalties.

Many people blame the CRA and/or the financial advisors when such happens. People are not really big on accepting responsibility.

So when you get your bill for the overcontribution, don't call the CRA to try to make worse the day of a random taxpayer agent attending to you on the phone. Pay your penalties like a big boy and take the lessons.

Or write and appeal for a waiver. You never know.

Just Don't Vent on the Taxpayer Agent.
