23, Alberta Calgary here.

My hourly wage is 30.4$ and I occasionally do about 16 hours overtime in the span of 2 weeks. At the start my pay period last week I decided I'm going to try and rake in 40 hours overtime in a 2 week period. My coworker warned me that this will be consequential because it will put me in a different tax bracket which makes my OT nearly useless as it all goes into tax.

What are your thoughts?
