Anyone else have this issue that their emergency fund is never enough? I grew up without a lot. Really had to make every dollar count. Now that my SO and I are gainfully employed with defined benefit pensions and a favour a mortgage. we've turned our focus to our emergency fund. Initially we worked to get 1k saved. When we achieved it we thought 1k wasn't enough and sought out to get 3k. Then 5k, 7k and so on. We currently have 10k and my SO feels more confident in our position however I still worry its not enough. I have started to suspect no matter how much it is Ill never feel like its enough.

Does anyone else struggle with the stress that their emergency will never be enough and not matter how much is squirrelled away you will always feel like you will need more?
