I'm fortunate. I have a stable source of income that exceeds my needs. But I'm noticing a huge increase in cost of groceries last 2 years. Easily 20% overall. Some items it feels like more.

Then I look at the troubles a lot of farms had this year In the prairies with drought, heat, and bugs. Livestock heards were culled because they couldn't be fed. Gas prices have spiked so transport costs have also spiked.

I can still afford to eat well. And healthy. But even me with my excess discretionary funds I am starting to feel it. I just don't understand how people who have lower funds than me do it.
